What it does
Shows the latest items from one or more feeds. Each entry has its title, an optional snippet with the HTML stripped out, and a relative timestamp.
Items can carry a source row above the title: the site’s favicon and its hostname, which matters once you merge several feeds and need to know at a glance who published what. On a narrow widget the hostname drops away and the favicon stays.
The header title resolves sensibly: your custom label if you set one, otherwise the feed’s own title for a single feed, otherwise the names of the selected feeds joined together. Choosing several feeds never leaves the header blank.
You control how many items to show and which fields appear.
Where the data comes from
The feeds you configure, fetched directly by your machine and parsed locally. Both RSS and Atom are supported.
Favicons come from Google’s favicon service, keyed on each item’s hostname, falling back to a globe icon when unavailable.
Limits
- Headlines and snippets only; it does not render full articles. Clicking through opens your browser.
- No read/unread state and no per-item dismissal.
- Feeds behind authentication are not supported.
