Scratchpad
A freehand sketch canvas on the desktop.
What it does
A blank surface you draw on with the mouse, pen or trackpad. Useful for the diagram you would otherwise sketch on the back of an envelope and lose.
Pen colour and stroke size are configurable.
The drawing is saved with the widget, so it survives restarts and stays where you left it.
Where the data comes from
Local. The sketch is stored as an image in the widget’s own settings and travels with your Themia configuration through export and import.
Limits
- Freehand strokes only. No shapes, text, layers or fill tools.
- No undo history beyond the current session’s strokes.
- The canvas is the widget’s size; resizing the widget does not reflow what you already drew.
- For typed notes rather than drawing, use Notes.
